Cannot update GALCIV II

There were some recent updates for GALCIV II and Dark Avatar. evene the Movies got updated. While it worked for DA and the Movies, DL could not be updated because some error occurs everytime i try:

ERROR: Attemp:3 | Account Information invalid
Result: Installation failed (9)

Which does not make any sense since everything else could be updated properly.
I even tried to lookup my serial numbers but this didnt help.

I got the same error message and ive unistalled everything however ive not had time to reinstall dl and da so try that.

I've been attempting to update as well. I keep getting:

ERROR: connection error 1001
Stardock Central has been unable to contact it's server....

However, I was able to download the program Stardock Central, and logon and post here. What's up?

I have had the same issue for quite some time and just resolved it today. My guess is that a previous install errored and left the files in a state that the automatic updater was becoming confused on. Originally I was going to do a complete reinstall. Before I did, however, I wanted to see the install logs again. It was at this time I stumbled on what may be the solution for others. Fortunately, the process is simple.

Here are the actions that worked on my system. After starting up stardock central, I canceled the update process as I knew it would fail again. Then, in the games section, I individually updated each section under the Galactic Civilizations II tree. First I did the tutorials, then the movies, and finally the multimedia. I waited until the previous had installed before starting the next.

Individually updating each of those items worked properly and stardock central now identifies everything up to date. Give that a go before you attempt a full reinstall as it may save you some time.

I also have the same issue:

Updating each item individually does not help. (Movies, Tutorials, Multimedia & DA will succeed but GC2 still fails to update...)

There is an issue with the 1.6 beta package on SDC. In the meanwhile, you can get it here.
