Bug: When I upgrade a ship design the computer mixes it up with other designs (of the same name) and randomly builds a different design.


In Detail:
I normally upgrade my ship designs anytime I have a new tech, and keep the name of the ship. It asks me if I want to replace I prompt. However, for some reason, the computer also saves all previous designs and randomly picks one from the list of designs with the same name. So it can happen that I have "Transport Class" vessels in Endgame with Warp20 and 4000 troops but the planets produce the "Transport Class" with Warp 2 and 500 troops I had early in the game. I can only fix it by giving a new design a new name also.

Is there a fix to that?

On a related matter, it also happened that I equipped my ships with Shields (say Strength 20) but when they are completed and launched they have Missile Defense 20 and Shields 0. When I go to the design screen, however, it correctly lists Shield components yet no shield boni are given.
