Blue screen of death

I bought Gal Civ II on release and installed it on my HP Pavilion zv5000. I have 1 gig of ram with 125 shared with GPU. AS soon as I make a custom race and then hit next whamo blue screen of death. I have never had trouble with any game before hand on this laptop. I installed the game on my desktop and it ran fine. The laptop has ATI Mobility Radeon 9000/9100 IGP. Now I have waited since release for a patch to fix this issue. Today I reinstalled the game and downloaded all the patches from stardock and again whamo blue screen right after custom creation. Any advice?

Please go to C:\Program Files\Stardock\Totalgaming\GalCiv2 (or wherever you installed the game at), open the debug.err file you find there in notepad, and copy/paste the contents into a post here. If this is a DA report, you'll find the debug in C:\Program Files\Stardock\Totalgaming\GalCiv2\DarkAvatar instead. This will give us some technical information that can help troubleshoot your problem.
