Mod help

I put a new mod in the mod folder and it didn't show up on the screen as a available mod. Can anyone give detailed instructions on how to correctly use a mod?

What version of the game do you have, which folder did you put it in, and does the mod contain a Moddescription.xml file?

I used your special hull mod, and I have DL. I put it in the "mod" folder

Which version?

I put it in the "mod" folder

The one under Program Files\Stardock\Totalgaming\GalCiv2? The resulting folders should be Program Files\Stardock\TotalGaming\GalCiv2\Mods\KHSM-DL if you're using the latest version of the mod.

Does the change directory option in the game show the Default and Example mods, and where does it say it's looking at where it shows the full path?
