Trying to figure out how AI players choose abilities

>:3 - RAWR! Ima lion!

Right, so I'm trying to figure out as I said how AI choose/calculates ability points. Through running test games with spys it seems even if i customize an enemy player to not allocate any of it's ability points, it still seems to make use of them ( i don't mean the very basic perks they get regardless ). Even when I do allocate points they seem to have extra perks in their abilities that don't come from their racial status or ability points i make use of( I find this out from the very beginning, I play mostly with AI's intel at intelligent )

So yeah...I'm sorry I'm as confused as you are with my "question"... how does AI players choose/ calculates ability points.

Also, thankyou/darnyou devleopers of Gal Civ and DA from making such a fine product. You are dictating my unofficial major.

This would be a dev question (most likely Frogboy in particular), so you may want to bump this thread back up on Monday when they're actually around

I'm interested to know this as well.

Ditto,

When you look at all the things that buff you once the game gets going (anomolies, galactic resources, different techs, etc...) It's real hard to figure out what exactly the AI started with. It's more of a curiosity then a real need to know.

I'll see if I can point Frogboy this way tomorrow if he pops in and I remember.

He said "it's complicated". Hopefully he'll get a chance to give something more detailed later on
