Stargate Modding

Hi guys! I just signed up because I have some problems/questions about modding, prehaps Kyro can answer because it looks like that he usually does that

1) I need help making new skins for ships as "the Odyssey" and "Promotheus" and "Beliskener" and Ha'taks and so on. Or perhaps a guide.

2) I would like to team up with someone, how many are modding Stargate for the moment?

3) I have made several logos and pictures, although I am currently working on putting in them in the game, replacing the old ones.

4) I don't have the Collector's edition, is that a problem? I've seen that kryo's hull mod only works on CE (   )

So, anyone interested?

"Watch out everybody, there has been a JackAttack!"

Just had to say that

KHSM does not require the Collector's Edition parts, though many ship designs on the library require both KHSM and CE parts.

Unless you just build them out of the jewelry pieces included in the game, making new ships as you want to do would require creation of new 3d models, which is a whole other ball of wax. There's at least one modding group that does that though, so they might be able to give you some tips.

Well, that's fantastic! then i'll use the KHSM ASAP!

Any, eh.. info on those guys that makes those models? I have no idea to do them, but they're needed for Stargate, so I got no choice I guess

The guys at I-Mod Productions have done some original modelling (though AFAIK much is yet to come). The group at TBS Modder has done 3d work as well, but I'm not sure offhand if they've done original models or mostly just conversions (you'd have to ask them).

When www.I-Mod-Productions.com is back online on the next days, I would invite the Stargate Modding Team to be official supported Developer at I-Mod.

We would set up forums for you where you can meet and discuss, also space to upload, and of course advertising for your Mod.

We also share our knowledge about ship moddeling and all stuff about modding.

sincerly,

Stefan

Hi guys, after reading many threads about a stargate mod i just want to know, is there a team working on a mod now? If not lets really get on this, it seems the hard part is to agree on the use of a gate, there has been some really good ideas on this thread,

https://forums.galciv2.com/?forumid=348&aid=113806#1194106

Hopefully we can all get this up and running.

And if there is one going now, count me in, what can i do?

You are going to need 3d studio max or some similar program to make from scratch a 3d model. You should really go to I-mod or one of the other listed sites, and read all the stickies on this site because there are other programs you can use to make 3d models (some free) and none of them are pick up and use software.
You will want to read and do some tutorials to start off with or do what I do and just wait for/beg someone else to make the models you want.
