AI in Dark Avatar vs Dread Lords

Hi,

how does the AI in Dark Avatar compare to the AI in Dread Lords?
Do all AI advances/improvements in DA also appear (sooner or later)
in a patch for DL? I am mostly interested in a challenging AI,
not so much in feature additions - so I wonder whether it makes
sense to buy the expansion pack purely from an "AI perspective".
Any comments are appreciated!

The AI in DA has been dramatically improved, and it is even better if you have the CPU power or the patience to use the high-CPU AI options.

They have not been ported back to DL, and I am not aware of any plan to do so.

It'd be functionally impossible to import the DA AI improvements back to DL, wouldn't it? They're built around a very mechanically different game, after all.
