I desperatly need help

I recently bought the game, and installed it and entered the serial number, hwever I was nt online at the time, so I just started plaing, and did not enter my e-mail address, however I now have internet conection, and downloaded the update, and installed, I try to open the game, and it ask's me to enter my e-mail address and my serial number, however it pops up saying error activating product, and pops up a not pad saying:

Test internet data - success

Mode 1, short info

Submitting activation request...

Download: success

Activation result: 12

Error activating the product

Please check the serial number that you have entered and ensure that it is associated with the email you used. Try to activate the product again. If you are using Stardock Central you can right-click on the product and attempt to activate without reinstalling. Please include this log file when contacting [email protected].


Sorry I am not the most computer literate person, but any help would be appreciated.

I would advise contacting [email protected] with this error log, as it says.

O.K I ave sent this e-mail, I hope it gets sorted soon, as I am addicted to this game already, and am starting to get withdrwel symptoms.

I was sent this link by support when I had problems activating GalCivII.
I didn't use it as my problem was sorted but I hope it's some help to you.


Offline Activation Guide

Edit: You could also try deleting the sig.bin file from the main GalCiv2 install folder (or GalCiv2/DarkAvatar folder if it's DA that is the problem) and try to validate again
