All videos are choppy

Hi Guys,
I have just bought the Gal Civ2 golden edition a week ago. I installed the program and it seemed to be all rigth. However, when the game tried to play the video such as landing or tutorial, the videos were quite choppy. It played a small part of it in a OK manner and then it stopped for half a second. Then it continued in a manner mentioned above. This phenomona were observed for all the videos that I have encountered. I wonder if anyone of you have seen such problem. If so, how can you fix it?

I was having the same problem but I had never bothered to ask about it (or look for whether a solution had already been posted). Then I found your response here and it worked perfectly.
