Error loading second campaign mission in Dread Lords

I have the Gold Edition, which includes both Dread Lords and Dark Avatar. I'm attempting to play through Dread Lords, but the second mission won't load. Last 2 lines in debug.err seem to indicate the problem:

Debug Message: Loading custom map: ./Data/English/Campaigns\Ixith.gc2map (4294967295 x 4294967295)
*DEBUG ERROR: ***Invalid galaxy size passed to classGalaxy::SetGalaxySize ***

Edit: Just installed/updated the game this morning to latest available.

Kinda looks like an overflow to me...

OS: Vista Ultimate 64 bit
Vid card: Nvidia 8800 GTX

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Exactly the same problem here. Purchased the game about 2 days ago and am not allowed to move onto the second mission in the Dread Lords campaign.

Patch 1.5x3 made the DL campaign available in DA, but seems to have also introduced an issue making it impossible to continue any campaign, unfortunately. Cari belives she's found the problem so hopefully it will be fixed in the next patch.

If you want to play the DL campaign, you should be able to do so successfully by playing it in DL rather than DA, for the time being.

Same probably here...

Also, the game seems to freeze occasionally when playing the normal campaign game. After I click on turn, nothing happens, and I can no longer move. This has happened 3/3 times I have tried to play. When I load my save game, the game freezes at exactly the same moment.

Frcabot, that debug indicates that the game exited normally.

The lost turn button issue typically resolves itself if you save then reload when it occurs (it is generally caused by a ship getting 'stuck' when it is supposed to move, IIRC).

I believe that I have found this issue.  I added some new fields to the campaign data (including maps and scenarios) for the translators and I forgot to add them to the save game.  The next update will fix this issue, and will attempt to fix save games with this problem.

I think I've had the same problem, and I've found a workaround. Instead of selecting continue campaign in the campaign menu, select load campaign save game. There should be a file with the name of the last mission you've completed followed by "_victory", or something to that effect. After loading this save, ending your turn will bring up the victory screen for that mission, which should then take you to the briefing for the next mission.

Kryo, the game exits normally because after waiting for 10 minutes, I press alt-f4. When I reload the game, the turn button gets "lost" at exactly the same moment in the game (but the entire game freezes in conjuction - I can no longer pan, move, etc.)

Well, this is not good, had the same problem going from "Unexpected Visitor" to "Ixith" when playing the DL campaign in DA. I sincerely hope they remedy this with a patch as I like the new options available in DA. I could not find a workaround and the one above didn't do anything for me. I get the the Victory Screen no problem but when I click to proceed I get and objective that amounts to "might makes right, kill everyone". Then I can select my leader/colors/difficulty etc but when I click to proceed again I get dumped. I guess I'll just have to wait anxiously for the error reporting procedure to fix everything (-:
