Metaverse cheat bug????

I just finished off a metaverse game with DA 1.5X. Fairly standard, like 5 opponents on beginner (yeah I know I will be setting the difficulty higher soon). I was the Korath, and killed off everyone with spore ships and ubber ships (probably getting help by the off defense bug - my ships did seem fairly unstoppable). Anyway, the game posted to the metaverse, but didn't record due to a cheat flag which I found out from the charcter game summary in my profile. I certainly didn't mean to cheat! What happened? Do I have to be sure the use mods in the options is unchecked? What do you have to do to ensure you don't accidently cheat???? Has anyone else had problems with a cheat flag rising up in a metaverse game that was unintentional and you had no idea you were supposedly "cheating"?

There was a bug in 1.5X causing all metaverse games to be cheat flagged. The bug is fixed in the 1.5X2 update currently on SDC.

I'd wait before downloading the current patch though. There's a bug in it where if you're playing on a Gigantic map, the three sectors on one or two sides of the map won't get cleared of the unexplored territory fog. We're hopefully expecting a new patch sometime today that will fix this. One of the devs posted last night and mentioned that it would probably be ready today. Provided they don't run into any last minute complications.

I haven't yet played on a gigantic map and don't intend to for the near future. I don't like my games going on forever. I am just trying to get more Metaverse medals. I think, however, that the "super defenses" bug is already on the patch I have as my invunerability field shields protected me from everything. Granted, I was playing on beginner where the opponents had a max of 3 attack for mass drivers. However, I do remember one of my "ubber ships" taking a decent amount of damage when it went against a decently attack and defense upgraded starbase, so perhaps the patch I have doesn't have the ultimate defense bug????

Too dramatic? Yea ok, but Stanley, like Belanos said, wait for the new patch. Brad assures us it should be out today sometime.
