Dread Lords runs better than Dark Avatar.

I can definitly say it's true. The frame rates in Dark Avatar on my PC are terrible from the start. Yet Dread Lords runs fine for the most part until alot of ships have been made. I thought the two games have the same requirements?

They do. Just becuase two games have the same basic requirments to run doesn't mean that they have the same requirements to run optimally. Since DA has better graphics and AI, as well as more potential items on screen, people might experiance more slow down. It's a bummer, but the price of innovation.

I think the problem is that none of this was mentioned in any previews of the game or by the devs. In my experience it is not usual for an expansion to require much greater system resources than the base game, so it is perfectly reasonable to expect a similar level of performance, especially when there was much being made before release of the improved graphics actually IMPROVING performance.
