I've been wondering that myself. I remember the same question was asked for DL in the early days, although I've forgotten what that was about, lol.

It's in Latin, so . . . . . any linguists out there?

The DL song might as well be Esperanto as Latin, for how bad the Latin is! It's using Latin words in a way that makes for grammatical nonsense.

I honestly have no clue--would have to get ahold of the composer and get him to answer like he did for the original title (I've just reposted his reply since then).

The Latin for DA is certainly better than for DL, but it does have numerous flaws. Oh well, the music's cool!

How much did it cost?

I realize that the goal was to make something that sounded cool, not write in correct Latin, but just for fun, here's my (woefully inadequate) attempt to rework the Latin into something approaching grammar...

The first sentence is fine - "Hac in hora, sine mora, persta atque obdura." The next sentence starts okay but ends badly. Here's how I'd put it,
Good:
"Cum ruatur caelum, si bellum volunt (vultis? you plural?), parati nos. Parati ad vincendum, ad vindicandum, ad mundum et lucem et veritatem defendendum, decertabimus. Incipiunt ultima; viribus unitis bellum paramus."

Evil:
"Parati nos ad vincendum, ad vindicandum, ad mundum ustilandum, utrum vincamus an moriamur et cetera, et cetera."

Can anybody improve on this attempt?

That looks right as it is.




You could just say, "parati nos ad . . .", making it all one sentence. I'm not sure where the "decertabimus" is in the English version, though.




What about "paremus" to make it a command?

I think I saw in wiki that it was a very rough translation due to mating the lyrics to the tunes. Like they said above...sounds good to me.
