Issues with visuals of ships

This isn't a huge problem, but whenever I go to design a new ship myself, for each size hull I have(Tiny, Small, Medium, etc) there's one ship where instead of looking like a ship, it's just a gray square. and if I click on it, it looks like a bunch of square planes overlapping one another, hard to describe really. It's probably a video driver issue, but I just wondered if anybody else was having that as well.

BTW, this is when playing Dark Avatar(not sure about Dread Lords,
and it's the latest version.

I'm pretty sure those are used to make custom ships without using one of the hulls.

Yes. It's just a starting point so that you can build a base hull out of whatever blocks you want.

Yep. Think of it as a totally blank slate for building whatever ship you like.
