Peacekeeper issue

I tried looking for an answer to this but didnt find it, so forgive me if its there, but when the peacekeepers showed up, they wiped EVERYTHING out that they could find, regardless if it was within the borders of my space, as the little pause screen said i was good if my ships were in my space. What happened?

Well, despite claims to neutrality, the Swiss did recently invade Liechtenstein.

The moral being, never trust another nations military, especially when they are stronger then you. maybe the Peacekeepers just changed thier mind.

Jokeing aside, I have heard this before. But, I've never had the even happen to me, so I don't know how all it works.

the peacekeepers showed up for me but they were different this time, no doubt due to the recent patch. Their logistics were rather low and so where their weapons. BUT, they were all over the map like a cancer!!! I can't remember who they destroyed, but after a while they just stay in place. If I attack them they will declare war on me!!! ??

Also, if I declare war on another major race, they will attack me!!!!

I do believe that's the intended behavior (better that than having them rampage wildly across the map like pirates).

^^^ but now they are taking their names to the hilt. they want peace and anyone who fights, they sometimes intervene.

go figure.

I think the peacekeeper is among the coolest mega events. I haven't gotten it recently, but too bad they nerfed them. It would be cool to make them at a fairly standard power (and somewhat high combat power, say large hulls with Anti-Matter Torp-level weapons and midrange defenses, at least half of the attack power of the ship) just to see how it changes the dynamic of the game--esp. with alot of evil warmongering races.

Can the devs add a 'non-nerfed mega events' checkbox to the interface?

^^^ their problem pre-patch wasn't their fire strength per se, it was that their logistics were nearly 3 times your max possible logistic and so mathematically they would have taken several game years to kill.

Hmmm...I don't know. When I got the PK event, they left alone unarmed ships so freighters were OK to move around, but massacared anything armed. Then they retreated to a few lonely corners of the galaxy and just sat there waiting for someone to come and pick them off.

I don't really know if either way they operated is correct, but there is my experience. Kryo seemed to indicate that what they did to you was what they were intended to do.

About the logistics thing, just build up some fleets of cheap throw-aways and keep throwing them at the PKs until they die...I had to do that with a fleet of superpoweered pirates before. Think of it as a good mechanic to help you modernize your forces
