DA Oddity or potential bug

While playing my last game the Altarians were at war with the Dregin for several turns. In one turn the Alterains are made peace and then restarted the war, all within the same turn.

Well, the 64 dollar question is...What did the Altarians get for that peace treaty? If they did get something of real value, then the AI is starting to act more like a human; and if so, should we be afraid?

One of the changes in the last update was to seperate AI warmaking from diplomatic relations somewhat, atleast for relations that were 'neutral' or worse. This might reflect that.
