I always end up automatically getting Superior Det. Armour Tech

I always end up automatically getting Superior Det. Armour tech. When I say always, I mean in the last 6 games I have played, I may have before that, i don't remember.

It's been a long time since I played being good, but I think that's one of the Good only def. techs. It's certainly much better than the armour I get untill Zero-point.

I don't know exactly when I get it, but I think it is as soon as I research Det. III tech. I suddenly have Superior Det modules I can equip my ship with.

This happens BEFORE I research Good and Evil, and even if I leaning toward evil, and even if I choose evil, I always have that tech.

You mean Superior Duranthium? Yeah, that's available to all alignments. AFAIK, Arnorian Battle Armor is the only Armor that's restricted to Good.

yea, i have no idea what tech you're talking about. and AFAIK, there are no defensive techs that are superior to the end-level ones, which are available to all alignments.

The good defensive techs are kinda crappy. They get outclassed really fast...

They do provide defensive and hit point bonuses though. Those last the rest of the game.

They're pretty small bonuses, though. In my mod games, I usually have them turned up so they're more meaningful.

Superior Duranthium, that's the one. Bizzar that it is far better than most of the armour you get latter. It's better than the Tri-whatever armour of any level, and i think better than the next level up also.

Not a but then... sorry for the miss post.

Wait. You get defense and hit point bonuses from the good defensive techs?

Indeed. It sort of reminds me of the Nano Rippers (are they still in DA?), which are the type of weapon the Superior Duranthium defends against. Maybe it's a mass driver quirk?
