Disease Cure

Hi All

Does anyone know if in the new patch they fixed the Disease Cure where the AI will actually try or attempt to get the cure? The AI in my current game is almost dead because they don't want to or can't anymore afford to research they cure. I'm almost ready just to give it to them.
Help!!

they did say that they were changing the importance value on various techs for the AI (I assume this is for research and not diplomacy), but nothing specific for that particular one.

It may also depend on the difficulty level you are using.

I just had it happen in a game, they researched it within 10-20 weeks, at least the two i was at war with
