Electronic or PDF version of the rules?

Hi,

I have prepaid for Galactic Civ II: Gold Edition at my local EB, I have never played previous versions of GC, so I am a noob. Since the game won't be available to me for a few more days, I was hoping to find an online version of the instruction manual so I can read it aheaad of time, and jump into the game once I get it.

Can anyone help?

I don't think there's a download for the GalCiv 2 (+ Dark Avatar) manual. I recall there used to be one back when GalCiv 2 was released about a year ago but I haven't tried searching for that.

I did find a HTML version and perhaps it would suffice. Note it does not contain information pertaining to the Dark Avatar expansion, only GalCiv 2. Hope that helps to quell your reading thirst

The instruction manual isn't available on-line (the above html document is an overview of the game, and not the original GalCiv2 manual), but there are tons of resources at your disposal. A good place to start is Brad's beginner strat guide:

Beginner Guide

It explains every major screen in the game and makes recommendations as to what you should be doing in the first few turns of a typical game.
