Gifting Units

I really like the feature that some civs gift you units when you are in war with a civ they hate, but there is a real problem about it, they gift you units often in distant territories outside the life support of your planets.
Could the AI be able to gift you units as soon as they are inside the range of planetary life support, because this feature now is simply useless or worst you have to pay mainteinance for units you can not even use.

You can move those ship into your support range. Just send them there.

Unless i am confusing something it says that the ships which are outside my support range remain in stasis and i can not move them.

You just have to watch the 'free gift' because if your economy can't handle it, you will find yourself swamped with maintenance fees. It's a good tactic to use against the computer if you wish to destroy their economy... just give them a crap load of ships with a high maintenance and presto... instant market crash!

nope, you should be able to send them back in, you just cant send them anywere outside the area by *clicking* outside of the range.

Yes, the only place these ships can go is 'home'. After, you can do with them as you like. The same thing happens if one of your ships hits a wormhole, and is transported out of range. A little annoying, perhaps, but nothing you can do about it.
