Modding Political Parties question

Is there a game limit to the number of political Parties in either DL or DA?

I would like to add the following parties
Expansionist(1800 USA, Manifest Destiny) vs Isolationist( Japan Shogunate 1700)
Imperialist(Rome after Ceasar Augustus) vs Traditionalist( Roman Republican Senate)
Totalitarians( Germany of 30s and 40s ) vs Populist
Monarchists ( Authority by birth, feudal period,) Vs Commonwealth ( Parliamentary rule, Brittain 1800, )
Confederationist ( Planet rights, Social) vs Federalist ( Central authority over, economical)

Iam looking at something that makes more logical since. I know that there are political party mods out there some of my ideas taken from them, ST mod and ShadowHawk mod.

Not that I'm aware of. I know there was one mod (can't recall which offhand) that added a bunch.

I would like to see political parties mean more than a set of bonuses. I would also like to see a Congress that is more active in criticizing the President, as in real life American politics. I would find it fun to hear in the news about "Senator Blowhard criticizes war with Altarians." etc. Such news events could effect morale of the citizens.

Blackrock,
Interesting concept, feasible? I do not know the devs will have to answer that one. I could be role played in an ARR and a reason for moral shift.

Hi all, actually what I'd like to see added is the ability to change political parties (and more than once)during the game. You would not get the bonuses of the ousted party but get the bonuses of the new party. You would have to pass a vote so morale would still be a factor. Building your empire? play the federalists. Ready to kick some butt? vote out the bean counters and put in the War party. While I hate to keep comparing GalCivII to another game, if Sid Meyers Civilization has this option in the program code, why can't GalCivII??

Side note to the Avatars: how to I become a playtester? If you can satisfy my nitpickiness(I'm a fourtysomething guy with a LOT of gaming under his belt), you would then be able to sell a near PERFECT product that I would bet would have vitually no complaints and cut down Forum traffic dramatically.

Preorder games before they are released. Generally we open our betas only to people who preorder.

One thing I like about Stardock. The monitor their boards and have answers for ya.
I have not seen another company give that kind of support. I wish the publishers of the Total War series would do the same. My congrats to Stardock!

Hi, yes, while I will kibitz to no end about details of the game that I think should be adjusted for playability, I will give credit where credit is due and say thanks to KRYO for the generally speedy forum replies...

I have come to certain conclusions about computer gaming.

1. Stardock should stay away from MP game unless it is made as a stand alone game.
In which the rules are set in GC2 universe and be played by MP like a board game. The computer is the bookkeeper and referee keeping a players in the bounds of the rules of said universe. NO AI ! If AI is used should be none player for one Character race Dread Lords who are against everyone.

2. Until we reach the stage of 16 processors we should not expext a decent AI that makes few lame errors. We may see the start of that when we get to quads. Until then ya know where I can get a cheap 2nd hand Super computer. For get that, my Electric bill would break me jus to run it!

3. AI is only good for one on one came play. Such as Chess or GO. The more variables the quality of AI dimishes.

Kyro, be may guest to move this to a new thread some where more appropriate.
Please keep up the good work.
