Fusion/Anti-Matter/Quantum power plant

Won't build on planet

I have a weird oddity.

I have a planet where I built

Harmony Crystals
Galactic Bizaar
Diplomatic Translators

The Anti-Matter/Fusion/Quantum Power Plants no longer show up in the available projects.

I decomisioned all buildings other than those 3 mentioned (I can't remove them of course), and I still can't build the power plants.

The planet is a class 22 toxic world. I have all Toxic World colonizer techs researched.

Q. Did you build one and then remove it again as this has been mentioned before. Accordingly this then removes the ability to produce them again

I though that this had been rectified though?? Kryo?

No. I did not build it. I didn't even start building it.

The first time I went to build it the options wasn't available. I have about 30 planets, and this is the only planet that I can't build the tech on.

I can build the research version, just not the power plant version.

I will look back through some save games and see if I can't get more exact info on when it became unavailable.

I've noticed the same thing. I've built a power plant on a world, decomissioned it, and I'm not able to rebuild it.

Seems like a bug to me, since it seems like a situation where you should only be able to build one power plant, not only ever be able to build a powerplant once, although it's not something that comes up that frequently (for me at least).

I've done something similar where I started to build a power plant, then nixed it before it was finished, and then could not build a power plant on that planet afterwards.

I reported such a problem back in beta. Its sad that this power plant problem have yet to be all fixed. I made a major effort to every power plant bug I could find.

I get this on all my games too. Its like the "one per world" limit doesnt reset if you stop production on a power planet, so you can never build it again on that world. I have to reload a game if I forget this and make the mistake of destroying or stopping production on one.

However!

The op insists this in not whats happening to him, he says he's never even started building one.

In which case, Ill suggest a couple easy mistakes Ive made:

1)Have you absent mindedly picked up the tech that advances the power planet to the next tier? I think I inadvertanttly picked up the next tier in that tech through invasion or trade once, and was dismayed to find that my "Anti-matterpower plants" had disappeared from all my availiable buildings (they had become "quantum" power plants).

2) The ability to switch to a menu of "older"(obsolete) building types is a great new feature in DA. Sometimes I forget I have it switched to that menu though, and since my brain is only really keying on the name of a certain building, I dont notice Im looking at the wrong list.

Just a couple "brain-fart" suggestions. Failing those, I think youve probably fallen victim to the above mentioned bug somehow or another, even if you dont remember how.

Yes, I know you can select the old tech.

The problem is that none of the power plants are available. Not in newest, oldest, or all. It simply isn't there.

Furthermore, there are now more problems.

On many of my planets, but not all of them, I can no longer build the Anti-Matter power plant if I already have the Fusion power plant.

On a planet with no power plants I can select to build one of the three, no problems.

But on one planet I can select to build no power plants of any kind.

And on some of the planets that already have Fusion power plants I can only upgrade to Quantum power plants. Anti-Matter is simply not available.
