Guys,
I use an interesting method to back up files in the game directory. I use winzip. I found that a certain costom planet mod would not work from a mod folder buty has to be installed into the English dir of the main game.
Example:
1.CustomPlanets vanilla I zip this in the dir with winzip.
2. Now have CustomPlanets.zip, rename to CustomPlanetsO.zip O for original file
3. install modded file for Balanced Custom Planets Mod: CustomPlanets.xml, over writting the original file.
4. Zip new CustomPlanets and rename zip to CustomPlanetsM.zip, M for mod
Now play the mod has been installed.

If I want the original find original zip file open it and drag and drop into Enlish dir. It over wries and I have the vanilla. Open modded zip, drag and drop I have the modded version.
