DA - play by itself

In a great article by Brad he mentions that he likes to watch the game play all by itself while he was developing the AI. Truth be told, I think that would be a cool thing to do as well especially if you can stop it, look around at what the various civs are doing etc.

Does anyone know if this "feature" exists for us folks?

To my knowledge there's no way to do it right now, but I'd really like to see it implemented. For that matter, I'd like to see an option that lets the game continue after the player loses. It'd make it meaningful for me to surrender if I could watch whether the civ I surrendered to went on to destroy my enemies.

Checkout the first movie on the list. It seems to be possible.
