AI Ships Healed by Damage

In my battles against the Yor last night, I was facing Frigates with ~150 missile attack and zero defence. My small's could post about 30 attack. If I sent a fleet of 5 smalls against a lone frigate, it will destroy the frigate with one or two smalls remaining.

If I send the small ships one at a time, the first small would bring the frigate down to about 7 hitpoints. After the next attack, the frigate would not only survive but be back up to full hitpoints!

I understand there may be some rule that prevents mutual annihilation. If you ask me, that rule isn't justified, but that's besides the point. Even if there is a rule that one of the fleets should survive with one hitpoint, there's no way that being attacked should reset your hitpoints to max!

Yeah, if both sides destroy each other, the stronger one is *supposed* to survive with only 1 HP. Probably a bug in there then.

It actually happens a lot.

Seems to be when the ship's level goes up, it's hitpoints are set to max. Not always doing it, but I've seen it numerous times, enough to say it happened at least one time in every of my game (latest patch blabla, I've also seen this on dark avatar).

It affects the player's ships as well.

Kyro is right.  If boths sides kill each other, the stronger one survives with 1 hp.
If you are seeing the hit points restored, that is a problem.  If you have a saved game before the battle, please zip it and email it to [email protected].  Please provide a link to this forum thread in your email message.

That will help us to get to the source of the problem faster if the situation is already set up.

lepidosteus,
If you see a ship about to upgrade its level, please save before attacking it.  If this occurs, please send us the save.

In the meantime, I will see if I can reproduce it on my end.

Thanks in advance.
