Hotkeys in Ship Builder?

Is it possible?

I have a laptop that I often use to play this wonderful game called GalCiv 2: Dread Lords. Because it is often inconvenient for my pockets to carry a mouse in them at all times, I am wondering if it is possible to make hotkeys to do the rotations in the ship builder. Building ships is pretty much all that I need my mouse for anyway.

Also, if it is possible, is there any way to set the amount of rotation that pressing the hotkey would give?

Why is it that in the shipyard "-" zooms in and "+" out? Anywhere else in the game it is the other way around.

Hold down the control key and use arows for rotation of ship.
