Isn't Email Activation Automated?

Since my game computer does not have internet access I have to activate Dark Avatar via email. I emailed the activation information as instructed to [email protected] about 10 hours ago, and have received no reply yet. I expected the email activation process to be automated on Stardock's end because of the format of the information I had to send in ... had to be in plain text, etc. making it sound (and look) as though it would be read by a computer. I expected a relatively quick response subject to the activity level (how many others were trying to activate at the same time). If it is not automated I know I will have to wait until business hours on Monday, but if automated then something is broken. Does anyone know whether or not the process is automated?

I believe it is, however if there was an error it may need to be checked out by support before you get a reply. In any case, just bump this thread tomorrow and it'll remind me to remind them to look at it (sorry for the delay in the meanwhile--I'd check on it myself if I could).

Thanks, kryo! I resubmitted the activation request several hours ago at the suggestion of Goldenboy who said his only took minutes for a reply. No reply to my second request yet; so something must be wrong with my request or with the server.

You should make sure that the response isn't getting filtered into your Junk Mail folder. If it's not there and you still haven't gotten a response, please open up a support ticket with us.

Milksama says that your activation requests were fine, so it likely got caught in a spam filter on its way back to you. He's sent the response to you again manually, so keep an eye out for an email from mhaber AT stardock.com.

I had nearly the same problem. I sent the email 5 days ago. But I didn't recieve a reply. I've also searched in my spamfilter but I have found nothing. So I sent a second email but nothing happened. Could it be that they can't send to a Swiss email-address? Or what else could be the problem?

Hi Giron02,

I have looked everywhere and I cannot locate your ticket in our system. Did you get any sort of confirmation email from our servers? You should either get a "This was filtered" or a "thank you,.. we will get right on this" email. Please try posting another ticket and see if you get a responce.

Cheers,

There wasn't a responce. Neither a "This was filtered" nor a "thank you,..". I sent one more email now. I'll write if nothing happens.

Did you receive an automated response when you first contacted them? If so, what was your ticket number?

If you received nothing, they didn't receive it. There's an automated response.

The most likely cause would be that it is not getting past the spam filter. If you can't email support, you can submit a ticket directly through this page. Just click next, then fill out the form and submit it (no need to log in or register there).
