Can't Download Dark Avatar - Some Help Please

So I purchased Dark Avatar, got the serial number and receipt and everything.

I opened up Stardock Central and entered the serial number, whereupon it says I registered successfully, and please close the product registration dialog. I can access the various sections etc etc...

However, when I go to the GalCiv bullet and expand it so that I see Movies, Multimedia, Tutorials, and Dark Avatar (Expansion), the Expansion option still says "Purchase" and won't let me install.

I've tried restarting Stardock Central several times, as well as reinstalling Stardock Central, and I've re-entered my serial number no less than six times.

What should I do?

does SDC "search" for something on my drive to prove i have it installed before showing me DA as an option?


No, this is based on having a GC2 serial registered to the same account, AFAIK.


Then it seems that's where the problem is - my GC2 was registered under one email account, but i registered (tonight) for purchasing DA under another.
However, Nakor said he found my order info for DA.. so if there's proof of purchase, why can't i get a download link?
Could stardock change my GalCiv2 account over to the one i created for DA? Would that fix this?

Yes, that's what would need to be done. Since you already have a support ticket, just reply to it requesting a merge (specify both emails involved) if you haven't already.

Well.. I have updated the ticket.

But from their original auto response email they don't work weekends - so i guess i'm SOL for this weekend. Sucks as I return to work next week so won't have as much time to play.

Can't believe this problem is caused by an email address. Oh well.. hopefully they will sort it out soon.

I recently got burned by Steam with some server issue they had and now this. Future purchases for me will be through the store.

Still no download link available.

My ticket is still open on the support site.

Anyone who had this issue got it resolved yet? looking for some hope....

So I have this problem as well, I gotta say this is the most trouble I have EVER had trying to get a game. First it took me a week to even get it ordered due to various server errors that the stardock store was having, now because I purchased the game with my stardock store account, which is NOT the same email address as my stardock.net account, I can't register the game. I did this with galciv 1, AP, galciv 2 and never had any problems. Why would SD change the way this works? Moreoever, why would they require you to have 2 different accounts and then not have an option to link them together?

Store accounts just save your address, etc, so you don't have to reenter it. You don't actually need to make one, just use the same email address as here.

If you contact [email protected] with the two email addresses and request a merge, then you should be set.

This is freaking crock. Pride yourself on metaverse/online/e-download whatever and then jerk around the poor saps like myself who have the audacity to use more than one email address. I don't even give a crap about the game anymore.

Well, the stardock support/sales people got the problem fixed under 24 hours so I guess I'm not to pissed. Probably was for the best since I had 2 midterms to study for anyways.

On a totally unrelated note, how come our medals from galciv 1 don't show up anymore?

GC1 medals have never showed up on this site (they only show on the GC1 site).
