DA 1.50 - Planet tile bonuses & More

Am playing my first game on the recently released DA.

1) What happened to the planet tile bonuses? I am playing on a gigantic map and not one of my 30-40 planets have any tile bonuses. The Beta had plenty.

2) There is a pointer on the map that shows to which tile ships will exit from a planet. Is there a way to change to which tile the ship will exit?

3) This one was previously reported in the forums but is worth mentioning again. A launched ship does not get the focus. That is, if I launch a ship and then immediately right click on the map to where I wish it to go, some other ship instead will head for that point. This drives me nuts. It's a nuisance to have to launch a ship and then have to left click on it to give it focus so you can move it. And, since I normally like to play with the map cranked out to maximum distance, I often have to scroll in on the map to see the ship (because of clutter) so I can left click on it.

4) For the record - I turned in a Smart Exception crash report on this - After I have been playing for a while, if I go to the Diplomacy Screen and right click on an AI's ship to see its intelligence report, the game will crash. This was a problem in the Beta and it's still there.

Click the button in the top left of the orbiting ships box to set the exit tile.

I'm hearing mixed messages about the planet tiles. I'm not getting starting planet tiles, kryo's getting starting planet tiles, and 10kLakes isn't getting ANY planet tiles. What's going on there?

I've definitely generated starts with bonus tiles on my starting planet (talking DA, of course - and no mods). In my current game (medium map) I have an influence bonus tile on my starting planet, and bonus tiles on several other planets.

I'm not seeing any noticable difference in bonus tile distribution compared to DL.

I just re-installed and I'm getting tiles on my starting planet about 75% of the time. Must have been the poor internet connection I had the first time I downloaded.

However, I did notice the Super Hive factories are regular price when you try to purchase them. Is that right?

Compare them to another race and you'll notice that they are considerably cheaper. Rather than being full price but building in one turn as in the beta, now they're just cheap (and consequently build very fast, but not in one turn generally).

Ooooh BUG BUG BUG BUG BUG!!!!

Choose Thalans, start game. Select Factory and click "Buy". The cost is 690bc. Now, double-click on factory and select the factory from the Build Queue. Cost is 144bc.

I was able to start the game with planet tile bonuses, but it did seem like there were less than in DL, and even less than that of the more potent bonuses.

Tiles seems to be hit or miss.
Some I have had would show tons while others nothing. One thing I noticed is the chance to get lots of moral bosting tiles which I didnt used to get as much before. Its easy to rake in the cash with 4 moral improvements with boosting.

could the tiles question be related to luck bonus? i definately don't know all the ways luck actually affects game play, but it always used to seem in DL that when i played the alterians i got better and more tiles.

I had the luck bonus as part of my race ability bonuses, and I just started a new game and only my home planet had any bonus tiles. I colonized at least a dozen planets, and none of them had bonus tiles.

Yup...started a couple more games to see what would happen and only the home planet had bonus tiles. I think we've found our first bug!

I've had a pretty average spread of bonus tiles on my planets so far, comparable to the frequency of DL's bonuses.

three starts on tough with large -25 planets explored no bonus tiles-one of the many fun things is to find the planets with tiles.
Other than this I like the expantion very much

After colonizing about 20 planets or so, the last available planet to colonize finally had 1 manufacturing bonus.

The first few games I played (DA 1.50) planet bonus tiles seemed pretty scarce to me also.

I just started a new game and :

Neither am I

I have played 2 games now and haye yet to find one bonus tile. So im wondering if its some race setting or something that is effecting this.

Yes, I can report this problem as well. Rarely do I get any bonus tiles on my homeworld. In sets of 10 I started new games and I only got bonus tiles about 3-4 times. Otherwise nothing.

In Dread Lords it was typically 8-9 times out of 10 there would be at least 1 bonus time on the homeworld.

I've played a number of games since installing the expansion and bonus tiles with the exception of the home planet seem to be virtually non existant

Also seeing rare improvement tiles.

Occasionally on my home planet I'll get a HEAP of tiles and very rarely I'll colonize a planet which also has a heap. But for the most part, even grabbing class 15+ planets they'll all very boring without bonuses, whereas in DL having a high-class planet would almost guarantee at least a couple bonus tiles...

I read an old post regarding tile bonuses - they were made rare at one point and then got changed back again in the latest versions.
