I really don't think its a question of whether or not anyone's processor can handle it, i think its more a question of how long you are willing to wait on the computer opponents to make their move.

Right. Having a dual core processor will let the AI think in the background even with the CPU time setting maxed out. If you don't have a dual core or have a slow CPU, it just means you'll have to wait for them to think when you click the turn button.

I LOVE how this game (sad that it is ONLY this one so far for me) has BOTH cores operating when I check the task manager... I think, "It's about time SOMEONE began using that second core, for crying out loud." YAY!

ah right so thats why I haven't experienced any of the waiting time between turns, it only lasts a few seconds and I thought well they over exagerated that abit, but thats only if you don't have a dual core.

So to make sure I have this straight...

If I have an old P4 2ghz cpu(1 gig Ram, and an ATI 9600 XT 256mb vidcard) I should be able to run it just fine?

I'll just have to wait on the cpu for the turns? No grapghic issues for battles? No other glitches/corruption caused from not having the other pipeline in my cpu?

I'm just thinking of hitting my wife up for this on "V-day" and plan to butter her up pretty good if it's worth it...hehehe.

That should be the case, yes.

Yeah you should be fine. Turn up the CPU cycles!
