Any news on the VIsta/Nvidia Problem?

Stardock, Can you give us early Vista adopters any news on when GalCiv2 will be able to work on a Vista machine with an Nvidia card?

All my games work except this one and its the only one I want to play right now.

nVidia is working on the problem and hopes to have a new driver out soon. Unfortunately we don't know exactly when.

I had the same problem last night, could only play for about 15 minutes. What I did that got me to play for a couple of hours without any problems was, I went to the Main DA file located C:\Program Files\Stardock\TotalGaming\GalCiv2\DarkAvatar. The file is called GC2DarkAvatar.exe and right clicked on it and went into the properties, clicked on the compatibility tab and selected the box to run this program in compatibility mode for: Windows XP (SP2). Clicked ok and now I run the game straight from that file. This worked for me but no guarentees. Give it a shot and let me know.

I have a Nvidia driver problem with a7800GTX card. Every 2 or three days it crashes and does a physical memory dump when playing D>A. It mentions the Nvidia_4.dll. It refers to a page memory fault at non-paging address whatever that means. I would like some attention paid to this as I called it in before D.A. went gold and was told it should be solved with the released product. It has occurred again on the released product, so it obviously has not been fixed.

There is nothing in our code we can fix to address the bug in nVidia's Vista driver. It's totally an nVidia issue. They are aware of it and working on it.
