AI in dark avatar

Is it just me or is the new ai of Dark avatar much tougher than before?

I've been playing a couple games on painfull and it really is painfull   got ripped to shreads twice in a row when on the beta i always beet the game easily on that level.

btw great work stardock for dark avatar best add on i ever saw for a game   

Otherwise it might be nice if there was a little slider on your choose opponents screen to change the CPU settings for all your opponents at once, like for the difficulty level or the number of oponents. It can be handy for people who change map size often and don't have top notch computers (big maps with top CPU can get a little too slow on my computer).

it seems a lot slower too..the pace of the game. was that changed or is it just in my settings of the game/hardware?

I used to have a really slow game even in the beta. There was an apparent memory leak problem whenever you do a frequent save/load.

Yes, I can tell you the AI is tougher. I must downgrade to Painful in DA ( was at Crippling before ). Two things the AI does much better= science science science ( like Civ IV ), and takes the galactic resources very fast during the early rush.
