DA Availability

I was just wondering if DA is going to be available for purchase in retail? Will I be able to order it from amazon.com?

The reason I'm asking is I have gift cards for amazon, and want to know if I should wait it out, or pre-order from here.

Yes, DA will be available at retail and in online shops such as Amazon as GC2 Gold, a combined package including both DA and GC2. It will include a $10 rebate for owners of the retail version of GC2 so it will end up costing approximately the same as the DA-only version that is available direct.

Except for the box, what is the point in buying the Gold Edition (to own DA) when you already have DL ? Will there be something in bonus ?

Aside from the new printed manual (which Frogboy has commented he'd like to make available for download-only purchasers at some point), it's really just a matter of preference. GC2 Gold will be the only version available at retail, so if you prefer to shop at brick-and-mortar stores, that's what you'll find, or if not, you can save a trip to the store and get the download version direct.

Gold Edition is really meant just for people who don't have GalCiv II at all.

Most people, if they can, should just pick up Dark Avatar directly unless retail is their only option.
