This B5 mod is great but everytime i load a saved game i am not able to build anymore ships.
Do anybody know how to fix this problem.

And where is the link?

After reinstalling my machine after a HDD crash and DLing/installing DA I managed to integrate the .04 movies into the B5 DA beta beta. Works fine.
I also managed to integrate the high res mod into the B5 mod.
Still one issue remains. Since the upper half of the background of the main menu screen is animated just the lower half the nice B5 pic appears.
Any solutions?

Movie on the upper left- thats easy just remove the DA_TitleAnim.bik and put it in a bkup folder for future use.

Should look like this in game if done correctly-

Or you can add a modified TitleWnd.dxpack file to the mod, and have a full-screen video or none at all that way, without needing to remove files from the base game

@Spax: Thanks, you're da man. Can't imagine why noone ever commented on it. After I have installed it, I'll certainly do. But at least now I know why I missed it. I hardly look beyond page one of the forum due to time issues.
Which are also responsible for me not being able to create a re-do of the Rangers logo as I had suggested I would.

Did you managed to fix the missing ships after loading a saved game problem?

To be honest I'm not that far into my 1st DA game yet. Limited time just allowed me to DL/install it, put the B5 movies and events back in, do the bits of integrating the high res mod and starting a game to see how things look.
So far I'm still in the colonization and exploration phase.

Great Mod! My compliments

I just wanted to add that I have the same problem with the standard ships disappearing after a load. I can work around it by using the templates in the shipyard. It is more annoying that all the ships the AI builds after a load seem to be invisible, i.e. they are entities in the game but there are no visuals at all. Only ships that were already available to the AI before closing off and saving are visible.

(I haven't installed a high res mod or anything else and I use the Gold edition of DA)

First I renamed it, then I moved it. To no avail. I still have the same effect.

So the plan is to collect a list of bugs and go for a 0.6 by the 4th of March instead of just a quick 0.5a update for DA full. Things that are at the top of my hit list are:

* release with an installer (to be able to install dreadlords or darkavatar configs... probably a hull-changes-only config too)
* compress all the pngs with better options (smaller download)

Lower down on the hit list are:

* resize / centre all the models and make sure they have lots of hardpoints (the components having a hardpoint thing was only supposed to be temporary)
* compress all the models with better options (smaller download)

Bugs that I am aware of are:

* title screen video overlay issues
* loading saved games = disappearing ships (haven't confirmed this one myself yet, I know that it didn't happen when I was testing 0.5 with DA beta 2b)

Well, I asked Spaxspore if he could do a new title animation. He hasn't commented yet, but one could at least hope.

Oh, and I edited DAs Anomalies.xml to present more B5 quotes related to the anomaly type. I could send it to you if you're interested.
Also, maybe you would want to consider integrating the high res mod into yours.
It's quite easy. Just put the files into the B5 mod folder and edit the Planettypes.xml. If you do, I could also provide THAT one.
Still, I haven't had the chance yet to work on a more suitable Rangers logo.

And since were at the B5 topic here. Me and a lot of folks from the JMS Board who have e-mailed the Academy to convice them to include Andreas Katsulas(G'Kar) in this year's Oscar Memorial Reel were quite dissapointed that they didn't include him.
Granted, most of his inspiring acting he did on TV, but who didn't also like him as the one armed man in The Fugitive and a number of other movies...

ive got an idea of animation, last time i missed with it pre DA expansion the game engine slowed down the framer rate of the clip so it didnt work so good...ill mess around with it when i get a chance.

Love the mod but then again I've loved them all.My only problem is I can't use the Vorlons as soon as I save the game I can't build ships anymore and can't even design any as well.Good thing I don't use the Vorlons much.The invisible ships are somewhat annoying but they don't really bother me to much.So good work and I can't wait for the next mod.

P.S. Please,please,please find someway to put a Shadow planet killer in the game man I want to use one of those.Thanks again.

I get a CTD whenever I try to go into gameplay with this mod. Followed instructions to the letter, hit the clear button after selecting race. Any thoughts?

Help would be appreciated, this looks really cool.

Ok I had some free time on my hands and wanted to try make a B5 modell or two(got inspired from ravs B5 mod).Proved more trouble than i thought(lack of patience from my side).So i started small, baby steps, baby steps

Here is standard Vree Tzymm fighter i made in 3ds max and referance material i used, feel free to comment.I need to improve.Hope its ok by rav that i post it here?

Alright, got it downloaded, moved the movie so I see the title screen, selected my race, started game and.....

CRASH

Any suggestions?

That is pretty sweet for a first attempt Eclipse! It would be great to have someone around who digs B5, plays GC2, and can model in 3dsmax

README CORRECTION
Hopefully this will clear up a few problems people have been having with newer versions of DA:
2 Copy the mod folder to ..GalCiv2\DarkAvatar\Mods
should read:
2 Copy the mod folder to ..GalCiv2\Mods

During the beta DA used a different mod folder. Everything in 0.5 should work fine in any version of Dark Avatar, as long as the b5mod directory is in the right place. Sorry Violare, but 0.5 needs Dark Avatar. This will change with 0.6, but the eta is... when it's ready

Actually if it's a DA MOD shouldn't it be in GalCiv2\DarkAvatar\Mods? that's where my DA mod is and it works just fine (and I use a bunch of stuff I stole from you...cough....cough)?
