but i would like to see some really heavy weapons

true the two black hole weapons and death ray are heavy weapons

but i am talking about weapons that are to big to be carried by tiny and small craft

one such weapon is from star fleet battles it is a mauler the weapon is so big that the romulans had to build the ship around it

I haven't done any heavy-duty modding, but I think you could create such a device. Of course, you couldn't use it in the Metaverse.

I've toyed with an idea that's pretty much the opposite - a Defense Adaptation Module that doubles you armor's effectiveness against weapons it is not designed to protect against. So shields would be 2/3 effective against guns instead of 1/3, etc. I don't think it's possible to mod in something like that, though.

Nor would you get the values you wanted. Defense values against weapons the countermeasure isn't designed against are square rooted, not given a fraction.
