Unlimited Shipyard MOD needing access to Special Edition Content

Below is a link to a website where you can download a MOD that allows you to have practically unlimited amounts of parts on your ships, making it a cheaters greatest dream.

However, the change done to the GC2Type file in the English Folder for some reason removes access to the special edition ship hulls and parts that were made available in the v1.4 patch.

I'm therefore sending a MODer SOS for someone out there with the modding knowledge to adjust this MOD to work BUT also allow the special edition hulls/'bling' to work with it. Hope some folks can help.

Remove the additional/changed parts from the mod into their own .xml file, then use your standard GC2Types.xml and put the mod changes in the mods folder.

Sadly I have no experiance with GC II modding what so ever, so I am unsure how to do what you just suggested Kryo I know it would be a pain and a lot to ask of you, but can you either reply to this post a step-by-step way of doing this...or even alter the files yourselves and send them to me via a PM? Any help you could provide would be greatly appreciated.

See the modding guide by CariElf stickied in this forum for info about modding.

If the mod just makes parts smaller/hulls bigger, you could just as easily get a similar effect by finding your race's .raceconfig file in My Documents\My Games\GalCiv2, and changing the value for miniaturization in that file to some huge number. Then just play with the stock 1.4 GC2Types file.

Thankfully, I was able to figure out after trying to understand what the guide was saying how to go in and manually set the parts and hull types the specs I was looking for. Diving into this little bit of MODing and reading over Cari's great guide, I am now going to look into deeper Moding...see how to create my own unique empires to face off against in the game. Thanks for your help.
