When invading a planet, all non-terraformed tiles become unavailable!

Sorry but I don't have a save game to show as example (I was on the last push to destroy the Torians and win the game so I wasn't that concerned with not being able to use the planets I was taking for much) but whenever I invaded any tile that was not upgraded for use disappeared!

For example, I would send my transports into orbit and use Tidal Disruptors to gain the advantage. After I won the battle and then watched the screen to see what tile improvements were destroyed, the first ones to go were the Soil Enhancements, the Habitat Improvements, and the Terraforming tiles, THEN it would destroy other improvements but wouldn't include the terraforming improvements in the total number of tiles destroyed.. And the tiles they were upgrading were lost forever! Once I took control, I couldn't upgrade them myself!

I honestly don't know if it was the Tidal Disruptors or if any other invasion tecnique would also cause the same thing during an invasion...

What was your chosen alignment (I assume you had Xeno Ethics by then)?

I encounter a bug when playing as neutral where invading or colonizing a really low-class planet (like 1,2,3, maybe 4) results in a rather large number of auto-terraformed tiles. Class 1s become Class 11s if I have 2 levels of terraforming tech, etc. Surely that's not an intended feature? Not that I would complain, but it would seem to be counter-intuitive, and it doesn't look like non-neutral AIs got the same bonus.

I thought this was fairly well known by the devs, but just in case I'll bundle up a save and send it in next time I see a reproducible case.

Class 1-2 planets usually have 5-10 unterreformed tiles.

perhaps you don't have those researched?

I've come across the ethic situation where tiles were upgraded but didn't register as having used the soil enh building for instance. So when I took over the planet it looked as though the AI had built on a tile that it shouldn't have. This I'm pretty sure is known and been around for a while.

This honestly sounds different to me and should be easy to replicate. If in fact the tidal disruptor which basically wipes the planet clean is removing those tile enh buildings too I can see the case where the game would then not allow you to upgrade those tiles again. I can't say I've ever used the TD. Going to have to use the disruptor a few times and see what happens in my next game

I was playing Neutral (so I should have automatically had all the tiles available) AND I had almost all the techs in the tech tree (save the last 2 for the tech victory and the plague cure since I didn't have that mega event).

In my past experiences, the TD just wiped it clean and allowed me to do what I needed (even when NOT playing neutral) to the tiles that needed to be upgraded. These tiles actually disappeared.

Maybe they've added a percentage chance to have tidal disruption lower the PQ of the planet. That would explain the disappearing tiles. Going to have to look next time I play.

Well, if it was a precentage chance, it must be uber small since it happened to every single planet I invaded that had any tiles that needed terraforming....

Like I said, I wasn't too bothered by it at the time since it was during the final push to crush the opposition and I didn't care what happened to the planet after I crushed the resistance, but I can see where it would cause some consternation if I had actually wanted to use the planet to it's fullest potential....
