Help with activation

So I downloaded 1.4 and I now I can't play galci2 since I need to activate my game and everytime I try I get the whole this program is not responding, sorry for the inconveince message from Windows. anthing that I can do?

I too am having this problem. They simply tell me to "activte manually," but, as a newb, I have no idea how!
