Chapter 1
"The message"

Mar 28, 2224 5:09 PM(1909 hours) Earth Standard Time

General Mael looked out into the cold vastness of space and then to his homeworld of Procya from the space station kilja the procyons had built as a launching platform for colonizing the only planet that was almost habitable other then Procya, Procya II. He then looked at the mother star of Procyon and her dead dwarf star sister and wondered that could the people of the Procyon Expance ever move beyond the war-torn world of Procya. The expansion to Procya II would never benefit his kind. The only thing to look forward to was being in a cramped space suit and hold the first handful of sand ever to be touched by a Procyon. The Planet would bring disastrous economical loss for no gain whatsoever. It would all be done in the name of science and even science would not gain from it. Procya II could never be the next home to procyons but if they stayed on the procya for too long then they were doomed to extinction because Procya was a dying world that had lost its ability renew life as it passed away. The wars the Procyons had fought on this world had brought it to its dying breath. A breath that could sustain life for only so long. There would be no hope for another intellegent life-form to precede them neither any hope for a simpler life form. Yet still the Procyons had a thirst for war. It was their nature to fight. They were, after all, intelligent predators. This is their story.

Meanwhile, thousands of radio reciever platforms(satelite dishes) across the planet sprang to life as a faint signal from the twee and la(yin and yang) constellation was detected. Scientists scrambled to translate the message. Several hundred recievers were mis-aligned and it was some time before the image was clearly seen. It was a holographic image of a strange bipedal creature.

"...whether or not the arceans wanted to conquer us was never confirmed, but upon closer study of the stargate technology we were able to improve upon it and create a cheaper, more efficient, faster, completely mobile and independent space folding propulsion engine. It completely eliminates the need for fuel by generating energy in vast quantities far greater then the energy used to start it..."

Nobody understood what this creature was saying but they struggled to translate it anyway. Across space in the distant space station of Kilja the news was thrilling. True, nobody understood a word of of the strange language but because this was a signal from another civilization that meant that there were other star systems that could support life to which the procyons could go to, that their extinction was not written in stone. And somewhere in the Twee and La constellation was a planet ripe for the taking.

They transmitted it to public entertainment centers, news stations as well as personnal
4-D home entertainment viewers(holographic tvs). Procyons all over the planet were awestruck by it. Nobody understood a word the alien said but they all watched not letting their eyes sway for a second. General Mael could not believe his replacement biological optical sensors(his new eyes). This was the biggest event to happen to this planet since dictator Kinsa was defeated at the battle of basensei(pronounced ba-sen-say) and the planet was united.

"...thus eliminating the need for the gigantic, inefficient and costly structures which the other civilizations have relied
on for so long. We called this revolutionary propulsion system 'hyperdrive'..." the alien disappeared and in his place stood a cylindrical device " This is the full interactive schematic for the hyperdrive engine and we decided to share our findings
with the other civilizations of the galaxy. After all, any species that is capable of intersteller travel must have moved beyond such juvenial concepts such as war. May we all live together in peace and harmony for the all time to come"

Then the voice terminated and the interactive schematic for hyperdrive kept rotating. People all over the planet knew it was interactive because the interactive blue light was on. Procyons every where touched the hologram from different angles and the touched part un-assembled with text and audio details on the component and how to construct and assemble the smaller components needed to make the larger ones.
5 Earth standard minutes later the same message came again. Then a third came ,this time in arabic then a second one in arabic then chinese then second chinese and so on.

Two Earth Time Standard weeks later two prototype hyperdrive engines had been completed and General Mael ordered the colony ship intended for Procya II to be converted into a hyperdrive equiped ship and a scientific vessal to survey spacial abnormalities(anomalies). He would look forward to meeting these creatures. Of course, Procyons would never allow their leader to make friends with anyone so conquest was the only thing on his mind.

Coming up next Chapter 2 "the journey begins"
Since most AARs and GCII games start with little to no action it would be realistic to leave that out for now. Second chapter 2 will be actiony with lots of character depth and some action.
