Map editor doesnt work?

Am I the only one or does the map editor, on the sticky post, work really bad?

Ive tried many times to create a map and when I select it and start GC II always crash to the desktop. Ive added homeworlds for all the races so what is the problem?

The debug.err may reveal what is wrong with the map file, but you should really ask the map editor's author. You can post on the stickied thread, or click his name in that thread and use the email option in the menu to contact him directly.

What I found out was that when you place a planet using the map editor all the planets are associated to one or just a few of the stars. Like 50 planets belong to one star. I had to open the map file in wordpad and go to each planet and tell it what star it belongs to. Then the map should load in GalCivII. You actually don't need to add the homeworlds for all the races. IF you do't add their homeworlds they will be randomly placed when you start the game. I hope this helps.
