Small Feature Request: Easier Screenshot handling

Hello everyone,

I would like to suggest the following feature which im missing in DA and in DL for that matter.

Would it be possible to use the 'Printscreen' button on your keyboard so that DA/DL makes a screenshot for you and stores it in (bmp/jpeg) format in a folder called screenshots somewhere in the root of your DA/DL folder? (at least somewhere along these lines)

I'm addicted to the intelligence report feature where you get a very sexy and nice overview of whatever you selected. It would be really cool if I could easily make a Screenshot of this using an ingame feature rather than screwing around with this outside the game.

I would like to know what you guys think about this?

ps This idea comes from World of Warcraft where they implemented that feature rather nicely . I can only presume more games have this feature (none other come to mind atm)

There are already a number of freeware/shareware apps out there that can do this for you, and more. You may want to try looking up FRAPS, one of the more popular ones (it also lets you record video, IIRC).

Why not? Anyone who has played the game for any length of time can get more information from a screen than from half a page of text.

So that it could be readily uploaded to these forums?

Yes Mistralok,

that was my idea of the whole thing. But i've installed Fraps on my computer and have been playing a bit with it and it works 'ok'.

Nevertheless I can imagine people not wanting to have 'fraps' running on thier computer in order to make a screenshot or even peeps who cannot (don't know how and where to get it) have 'fraps' running on their comps who might dig such a feature implemented in the game rather then using 3rd party programs.

ps: Im satisfied now using fraps

I have fraps also, but I don't like to run other programs while I am playing the game. I like to save every bit of processor power that I can in order to keep the game running smoothly.
