thread on MOO3 forum - brad

Brad,
for what its worth, I think you were in the right. I imagine it must hurt when something you care about is trashed unprofessionaly by someone's who stated position is to moderate, not lead. Im glad you haven't
commented here on the MOO3 threads; you seem to have an understanding of common courtesies.
take care,
Aadik

I too read the thread over in MOO3 land. I had a long post all ready to go, supporting Brad, and right when I clicked to post, I got a message back that I was no longer connected to the net. I hit the back button and my text was gone. 2 1/2 pages of carefully composed text gone.

Anyway, what I basically said was that the person who started the thread was complaining about Gal Civ posts and was clearly allowing himself to be irritated. Then Sencho jumped on the bandwagon and began to badmouth Gal Civ, making false and specific claims about the game.

Brad had every right to "correct" the record. I had written a 2 1/2 page post to support him, and pointed out what the MOO3 forum and its mods were doing wrong. Brad has never "badmouthed" MOO3 here in this forum, unlike the mod did over there to Gal Civ, which was no doubt innapropriate.

In the first place, I've been wondering for several weeks now, why they didn't move all SE4 and Gal Civ posts to "off topic". Nothing wrong with that. Even if they were "not" irritated by them, it would be appropriate to do so.

Someone else suggested in that thread that they should, paraphrasing, "censure Gal Civ posts." I was about to say, "OK, then what's next, the censuring of "personalities"?

But Brad had every right to try to set the record straight.

*Space_dust takes ot his "Police line. Do not cross" yellow tape and cordons off the thread.*

This subject has been beaten enough and I don't think we can really add much more to this "discussion" of right and wrong. ;p
