I hate the rally point cursor!

the directional launch button is great but hard to use.

I hate the rally point cursor! Hate! Hate! HATE!

I almost never use it so I usually don't think about it much, but since I always play a gigantic galaxy with the screen zoomed way out so I can get an idea of the tatical situation it really sucks! You can't tell exactly what it is pointing at, and under Dreadlords it was workable to just accept when I used it to make a rally point, it would be somewhere in the general vicinity of where I clicked. Now that you are using that same #$%#$%@%$$% cursor for the launch direction, it has become something I use every turn. I'm sure if you play small galaxies with the screen zoomed way in to see the beautiful details of everything, and the squares are bigger than the cursor, it works just fine. Unfortunately, the style I play has made it a reall time waster and frustration point! PLEASE, replace that cursor with something precise or alter it so that I can tell what I am clicking on.

Scincerely,
Scintor

PS Did I mantion that I hate the rally point cursor?

So... ummm... if I understand you correctly there is something bothering you with regards to the rally point cursor right?

Seriuosly though I do agree with you. I also play exclusively in strategic mode but to be honest with you I zoom in when I place a rally point simply because it is unclear what the thing is pointing at when it covers a couple of squares. I'm sure there are still people that don't bother with them but I can't imagine playing without rally points. It takes away some of the click-click-click of moving large groups of ships around especially when they are stacked.

I'd personally like to see maybe a bullseye type cursor where the center of the icon is the square that is going to be selected.
