Please fix this annoying game killing speed bouncing bug - DISREGARD

I have played a few games of DA both beta 2a and 2b. Both of these versions, maybe those before these not sure, seem to have a bug calculating correct ship speed and make the game completely unplayable and i just go back to DL. Here is the bug:

After i research engine techs and start to put upgraded engines on my custom ships, thier speed points available keeps bouncing. I have mostly noticed this after loading saved games but I seem to recall this even happened on a game where i played straight through without loading.

Example: I build a ship with say 10 movement points. It launches goes to a waypoint and all seems well, its moving at 10 a turn. Then i start a war with someone and form my invasion plans to come back and try to move into position but now, SOME of those ship fleets are stuck at a max of 3 moves a turn, regardless of howmany engines. It does not matter if its 10, 13, or 7.

Whats odd about this bug is that not all of the same ship models are doing this. I can have two of the exact same ships, one will move normal per engines one is stuck at 3 points per turn. I first thought it was because maybe i upgraded some of these ships and the upgrade did not "take" well. Not the case, it even bugged the new ships coming off the production line. A few turns like normal, then BAMM, 25% of my ships now cap at 3 moves per turn regardless of whats installed on them. NOW, here is the kicker. I even tried to play through this "set back". Then a few turns into just going with it, I would check and now my fleet would move a full 10 moves or whatever. WTF is going on i think. Ok, no problems, i would keep playing. Then, a few moves past that, BAMN IT CAME BACK!!! the exact same fleet, all same ships, exact same ships as others that were moving normal.

This is a serious bug. It makes all your plans fly out the window and needs to be fixed ASAP. One thing to note, i always get the gravitron accelerator trade item, expecially since speed is such an important thing now with the limits on engine size. PLEASE FIX THIS BUG.

Anyone else having this problem? Because I cant play like this, can you?

Those fleets you mention don't happen to be entering or leaving the Yor's influence area, as their super ability includes a 3 move limit inside their area of influence.

I agree with DethAdder.

A few turns like normal, then BAMM, 25% of my ships now cap at 3 moves per turn regardless of whats installed on them.

Sounds to me like you are entering Yor controlled space. Of course this is their super ability. I have yet to see anyone post this as a bug so I am inclined to believe that is what is going on with your ship movement since you just so happened to mention the magic number of 3.

Hum.. ok just checked my saved games and guess what... Im an idiot, they were indeed in Yor space! Soon as i left, back to normal movement. Guess i got lucky and got put next to the Yor on two different games so was thinking this is a bug. Thanks for the slap to wake me up, I needed it!!

BUG!

I just love how people post 'bug' before posting the problem. =P

The worst part is that im sure this exact 'bug' is going to come up again.

Maybe next to the speed calculation there could be a message like Speed : 18 (3 due to yor influece).

now now, let's give him some slack at least he admits it now that he understands situation better.

Even though the original post is demanding
I'm an idiot! They were indeed in Yor space
makes up for it.

The Beta has been running for some time now and this is the first time "we" have seen someone think that the Yor super ability was actually a "bug". We have heard that the ability is stupid, over powering, game altering, not fair, needs to be changed, needs to be deleted, but not that it was an actual bug...

I am not so sure we will see it again.

Hell, I didn't even realize the Yor had this super ability. The idiot could have just as easily been me. Sure glad it wasn't, though.
