Size of sprite

I think I saw this before, but cannot find it now. Is there a limit on the size of a sprite that we use for DesktopX gadgets? Thanks.

There seems to be no limit as long as there's room in memory. My crystallized desktop use clocks that is amazing big. It's because it's animated so it is very wide.
