Help Figuring this Out

I have been having trouble putting in two mods. Would anyone help me figure out my problem?

I want a mod that adds three new political parties, and another that adds some new planet types. However, I can't seem to get them right, as all that ever happens is that I either fail to get it to work, or the program crashes. Any help?

I would try reading CariElf's Modding Guide. I cannot remember where i found the link for it here on the website, but it has LOTS of information on just about everything. It is very informative and easy to understand. I read through it whenever I am working on a prospective mod. I found the link to her Guide to Modding... here it is

Well the political parties you do with xml. I suggest using a good editor that can check syntax like notepad++ (there's others but thats what I've used in the past).

That way if you forget a closing bracket or slash it is in a different color like red until you fix it then its back to green or blue..
