DA beta 2b not loading

Is Gal Civ fully updated? Think my version is DL 1.40x.071

Possibly could be that.

On a side note anyone know what changes have been made between beta2a and 2b.

It was 1.4x.071 but now 1.4x.067 I think it said V 1.4x.072 for DL

If I run the DA.exe direct it says it is beta 2a ?????

In SDC my DL ver is 1.4x.067 no update
and my DA ver is 0.20.026 no update

can anyone confirm DA is new version ?

Remove and download again. Sounds like one of the files is missing.

First off i would try deleting prefs.ini and try booting into the game as normal. See if that does the trick for you!

I've just updated to beta 2b within the hour. My versions are: 1.4x.071 and 0.20b.033.

Beta2b is working fine for me new changes over 2a are noticible. Perhaps your download screwed up.

Try ticking off then on again for pre-release versions to see if it gives you an option to download again or you could try complete uninstall then install. Or waiting for Stardock employee who should be able to help more than me.

It worked fine for me, though SDC was a bit slow. Looking for a changelist though.

btw is it new or have anomalies always had different graphics depending on their class? I just noticed, i usually play on the strategic map for exploration (warp holes look cool  ) and the way the tech tree is disposed when techs branch out, like for diplomacy and logistics, is much more clear for those of us who don't know the tech tree by heart.

Just dl'd the updates and got a message at the end saying they won't take affect until the computer reboots. Are these updates altering the system registry?

No! I did not get the same message so am unsure why you received it? Might be prudent to run a registry checker after rebooting just to be safe. If there is no issue i wouldnot worry about it at all

Well not seeing anything other than what I've initiated myself today. I'd installed one other program today, and I think tonight's update may be the first one I've done since putting in IE7, nothing seems to be running that shouldn't or causing unusual CPU usage.

Just changed servers in the tools menu. Now it says there are updates.

Updated DL to ver 1.4x.071 but it says there is new update 1.4x067 ?

Updating DA now , hopefully all will be well.

1.4x067 is the past version. For some reason the latest update did not hit the servers correctly and does not show fully as a beta update. Not only that the servers appear to be in slooow mode too. I had to endure a 10 hour d/l yesterday as i could only get 15kbps from the stardock server
