Editing the top secret files of the game

the TitleAnim.bik in the movies file have a limited space right? it's not the hole screen. I changed the titleback and I saw that the TitleAnim.bik is still runing in a 500x500 window I think.

I want to change that window size so I can make the hole titleback a big animation. is it possible?

Yep, it is. It requires editing the TitleWnd.dxpack file, though. To save the trouble, I've gone ahead and done it--if you don't mind testing it, I'll add it to the library as a modder's resource once you confirm it works as you need.

Important Note: even with the animation window expanded to full screen, the video you replace TitleAnim.bik with will only be scaled at the same rate as 1024x768 is to your current resolution. So the bink file you use needs to actually be 1024x768 in order to fill the whole screen.

I have tested your titlewnd and it's working fine. I got here a bik movie of mars that you can try out and tell me what you think. it's cool because it's moving.

mmm... I'll really appreciate it if you tell me how to upload zip files like you did with the title wnd? thanks!


I used my own site for that. If you want to upload files but don't have a site of your own, you can use free public file hosting services like megaupload.com.

If its a mod for the game you can always send me the mod and i will host it for you in the GCII unofficial mods site (see in the stuck topics for details)

Alternatively you can upload the mod here in the library and then poke Kryo to check it and let others see it too!

well, it is, but it is Kryo's mod. I just want to send my titleanim file so you can see the bik file in the whole screen. it looks good!

If Kryo wouldn't mind, you could zip up both his mod file and your file together, then upload it to the Library. Then any of us could try it.
