DA crashes during autosave

Realised it yesterday (first long game of DA I played). After a few hours the game crashes during an autosave opperation. Restarting the previous autosave got me past that point but after a few hours I got another crash during an autosave moment. It happened 3 times over the course of 5-6 hours, and always during the autosave operation (which then failed sadly enough).

kaos, what race were you playing as?

This happened to me recently playing as the Custom Race; I've never had that problem playing as any other race. Though, as you suggest, it may be a result of the length of your game or of the length of your playing session.

I have experianced this also and the auto save game was gone afterwards.

It does not seem to be happening with any regularity. Some sessions play smooth with no problems, but some sessions, once the crashing on Auto Save begins....it will not stop until I have restarted the computer.

But that games is toast, even past saves when loaded will crash. So I have to start a new game.

Exactly the same bug, and the saved game it crashes on is always lost for me. This bug makes the game unplayable in the long run. I also play as a custom race in a gigantic map, and all nine AIs are custom. I have sent the debug file from my last crash in.

Turning off the auto save will eliminate this problem, you will still have an occasional crash during a regular save though.
