Loading Time for Saved Game

Who cranked up the timer??

Has anything been altered that could cause a save game to take 30+ seconds to load?

I am testing/playing in Gigantic/Abundant and the load times for a saved game is edging on the ridiculous again (no direct insult intended Devs).

Could one of the Devs please let me know if i have a problem with my new dual-core (not that there is an issue with anything else) or has something been 'tweaked' in the beta?

It dousnt matter if your computer is fast(it does matter if it is slow!!). when loading a game, your computer can be limited by the speed of your HDD.

Takes you only 30+ seconds? Hell, takes about a minute or more on my notebook!

Boy you guys are spoiled! I have 20 minute+ load times on every game I have ever played. General, spend good money on a computer so that I can just goof around on a game? My wife would have a good laugh about that one.

30 seconds is about average load time for me on gigantic/abundant. I did notice seems to take DA a little longer than DL, but figured with all the extra activity in the galaxy and better graphics that was to be expected.

Okay, it's official. It took 7.5 minutes to load a mid-point DA beta2B game when first loading the game. Two minutes to load a saved game once in the middle of a game.

Hint... computers are about the only thing a husband can spend money on without the wife ever finding out! can your wife see inside your pc? That is why husbands need to learn how to UPGRADE their current pc. Sure it looks the same on the outside... mmmwwwaaahhhh
